Bohemian Wedding

Hello folks!
It's been a while! I've been pretty busy as I've just moved in the British countryside (which I love!!!), bought our first house and doing a massive renovation, so there has been a lot going on this summer but I would love to share few of my fab wedding details because is my Fourth Wedding Anniversary today, my special Bohemian Wedding!
And, of course, I'm also going to talk about plants and flowers.

Well, where to start... My Bohemian Wedding was absolutely magical and unforgettable!
It was August , a very very hot day and it was in Italy! We chose an enchanting rustic Italian restaurant (" Da Alessandro e Margherita" ) with a huge beautiful garden and mountains view. Warm and calming vibes, delicious food, lovely people and fun times! The day was filled with gorgeous flowers, bohemian decorations and was super stylish!

Nature is my passion, so I couldn't help but choose the woods to create beautiful memories of my wedding day! Our photoshoot was incredibly dreamy! We had a slow walk in the forest, a warm light through the trees and our love was creating.

The most memorable parts of our day were the golden hour walk and our first look. We were so lucky to get a stunning magical light for our photoshoot and we were in the woods, having a walk surrounded by beautiful trees and it was so quite and intense that we really enjoyed our time there. So emotional and full of love, the ceremony was incredible, all the details and vibes were just perfect for a perfect day.

Bohemian Bride

A Bohemian Wedding with a boho dress has always been in my dreams! It wasn't easy to choose all the details at the first, but the more you see and try the clearer it gets. I found everything needed and with time, patience and even more patience (and more patience) I eventually managed to get all I wanted.

I had a beautiful flocked floral patterned ivory lace dress: long sleeves, high neck and open back, sweep train skirt, romantic and elegant with a delicate vintage feel. I absolutely loved the cut, and I could 100% picture myself getting married in that dress!

  • Earrings : Handmade double pearls drop and gold from Etsy.

  • Anklets: Laxmi Handmade Head over heels made with cultured pearls, row of sparkling diamond stones, silver and gold effect chain work, tied with silk ribbon from GraceLoveLace.

  • Shoes: Nude Sandal from Office.

I decided to have a low bun updo with a braid just on one side and decorated with fresh flowers and leaves. I used white roses and a couple of Carnation flowers and a hint of green with leaves of eucalyptus, creating a romantic and chic style and it was absolutely perfect!

Bohemian Groom

My lovely, beautiful husband was absolutely handsome at our day! His outfit was a mix of boho and classic style, it worked perfectly with the vibe of the day and he looked stunning!

He wore an Hugo Boss black tuxedo suit tailored fit and he had a white shirt ,very classic and elegant from the same brand. He chose a jacquard silk bordeaux bow tie from Hugo Boss too. The shoes were very stylish, he wore an handmade two-tone tan brogues from Herrings.

The boutonniere was the perfect bohemian touch! A big white fresh rose , a red carnation flower and eucalyptus leaves.

What sort of flowers and leaves did I choose?

Since our theme was having a botanical bohemian garden for our Bohemian Wedding, we had a lot of ferns leaves, white roses, parlour palm leaves, eucalyptus, Monstera leaves, dark red carnation flowers and Ivy vine to get more green feeling.
Flowers and leaves on the tables, vases , bottles … where ever it was possible to have them!
I had a beautiful wild flowers bouquet which matched the colour scheme perfectly.
Bridesmaids had roses and carnation flowers bracelets and all groomsmen wore a fresh flowers boutonniere (roses and eucalyptus) and they chose their own dress and everything was so in line with our wedding!

Decorations

Our reception was gorgeous inside and outside, so botanical so magical!
We had a colour scheme of white and green with a hint of gold. I really loved styling my own wedding and seeing all my idea come together on the day, I really couldn't make it without Margherita, she is the owner of the restaurant and she was patiently listening to me, taking care of every single detail and she made my dream come true !

In the garden we had a romantic and beautiful white arch with tables and chairs, vintage furniture, like cushions, a sofa, old bags and a wood cupboard so people could lounge and take pictures.
It all came together perfectly!

We got married in the afternoon, so we decided to had a slow apertif in the garden first and then moving on to the restaurant area for dinner, which was stunning! Candles, lights, lanterns from the ceiling and a lot of green and flowers everywhere! It looked dreamy!

Wedding table decorations are an essential part of your big day and turning your wedding vision into a reality can actually be a lot of fun!
Small details will hint at the overall look or vibe you are going for.
Adding an accent of colour to the different elements of your wedding tablescape, is an easy way to tie all of your decorations together, I used vases and candles to add romance to my table decorations, but make sure that any decorations you add to your tables do not prevent your guests from seeing each other so they can get to know each other and marvel at your wedding together!

The magical night lights

Candles were the subjects of our evening. They add a delicate light, with gentle movement and calm vibes. We loved to finish our day involving our guest by asking them to make white lanterns fly into the sky. It was a magical and breathtaking moment!
